Have you ever wondered WHY Our Community Credit Union closes at 5:35pm?
When the credit union was first established in 1941 by the Simpson loggers, their quittin' time was at 5:30pm. Keeping the credit union open an extra 5 minutes allowed the mill workers the time needed to get to the credit union to cash or deposit their checks on payday.
They were also known to remove their boots and line them up outside the credit union doors so that they didn't track mud into the branch.
